The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) is situated within a purpose built, fully integrated business precinct and has been designed to accommodate world congresses, exhibitions, regional meetings, gala events, performances and concerts. Owned and developed by Omran, OCEC forms part of phase 1 of Madinat Al Irfan, an exciting new urban centre, conveniently located 10 minutes from the new Muscat International Airport.
55 meeting and exhibition spaces offer a range of functional and flexible areas to host prestigious events of 10 to 10,000 people. The centre features two tiered theatres to seat 3,200 and 456 guests and five exhibition halls with 22,000 square metres of column-free exhibition space.
Additionally, there are 20 meeting rooms capable of seating between 10 to 360 delegates, two column-free ballrooms with a theatre-style seating capacity up to 2,932. The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 2,068 delegates, and Junior Ballroom has 864 seats. There is also a hotel pavilion, a VIP pavilion and a multi-storey car park for 4,000 vehicles.
The precinct includes a JW Marriott Hotel (five star) linked to the Convention Centre, a Crowne Plaza OCEC (four star), and a business park, surrounded by a nature reserve which is a haven for Oman’s exotic birdlife.
